Man can't understand the depth of your sorrow, but God can. Every circumstance, every story, is different and unique to the individual, but God is a personal God with the ability to meet you right where you are. Whether it be in the trenches or the church, the altar or the closet, the valley or the mountain top, He sees you, He knows you, and He cares. He sees every sparrow that falls, and yet, you are of more value than they.

Just as Jesus wept for Lazarus, He weeps for you. A man of sorrow and acquainted with grief, has bore them both. He is near to the broken-hearted, and promises rest for the weary. God knew that there would be tribulation, which is why He left us a comforter. He left us not only His Spirit, but His word to be a lamp unto our feet. In Him, we find rest, and in His Word, we find truth. The truth of His loving, perfect character. The truth of His promises to those who love Him.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭29‬-‭31‬

(John 11:33-37, Psalm 34:18-19, Isaiah 53:3, Matthew 10:29-31)
